Our Mission
At Hot Yoga Queensbury we believe in community.
We believe that this practice is for every BODY. We believe in creating and maintaining an open, loving, and non-judgmental space for you to feel safe and grow. We are committed to supporting you physically, emotionally, spiritually, and intellectually. This community is our WHY. Embrace the heat with us. We can’t wait to see where you grow.
WHY HOT?
It can improve flexibility and other aspects of physical fitness including range of motion, balance, posture, and strength.
It is a cardiovascular workout. Higher temperatures can help burn more calories by elevating your heart rate.
Being exposed to higher temperatures can increase your circulation and has a relaxing effect on the muscles.
Exposure to heat helps increase the flow of lymph fluid in the body.
Acclimatizing to heat through the use of hot rooms has been proven to increase both endurance and the capacity to build muscle.
The controlled and healthy stress applied during a hot yoga class can help build mental stamina and resilience.
Along with other forms of yoga, it can help improve bone mineral density, sleep quality, pulmonary function, and psychological health.
Our Studio
The state of the art Hot Yoga Queensbury studio uses infrared technology which provides a sun-like warmth to enhance your yoga experience. Our infrared heat panels warm the body and room, not the air, which promotes a deep sweat to help eliminate toxins and allow muscles and joints to stretch further with a lower risk of injury.
We also utilize a heat recovering fresh air ventilation system and Dyson purification units in studio to provide the best air quality possible.
We offer Manduka Pro mat & mat towel rentals at the desk. The changing areas are equipped with showers, shower towels, soap, lotion and more.
Our Teachers
Our dedicated teachers each bring their unique style and years of experience to the mat with them to serve this community. These talented professionals are Yoga Alliance certified and carry many advanced certifications appropriate for the type of yoga they are leading, as well as training in first aid, CPR and AED use.
