If this is your first time meeting me, welcome. If not, welcome back! I found Yoga in 2016, when I took my first 26&2 class and fell addicted to the heat. Starting with my Inferno Pilates certification inn 2017, then my 200 hour TT in Vinyasa in 2020. Now in the process of my 300 hour TT. Making my way to HYQ in 2018 I found my Yogi family. I recently took ownership of this special community and I am honored to be given the opportunity to lead it. I am excited to practice with you. Stay Humble, Hustle Hard!

Kat Stack

When Kat took her first Bikram class in 2010, she knew that one day she would become a teacher! After getting sober in 2018, Kat supplemented her recovery with a devoted yoga practice. She received her 200 hour vinyasa certification in November of 2021 and was certified at a 200 hour Bikram training in March of 2022. Kat feels a deep calling to share her love for yoga as a means of fostering the mind, body, and spirit connection.

Lauren Ketring

I discovered hot yoga during some of the most stressful times in life. Freshly 21, I walked into a studio in Providence, Rhode Island. Not knowingly, I had just taken my first Bikram class. I felt all the emotions people typically do when they take a Bikram class but one stuck out to me- nausea. I told myself to make it through this class and I will never have to take it again. When I left the room after Savasana I realized what I had just done. I had survived my first Bikram class. I was hooked. Yoga has helped me in many different ways. It pushes me to be a better teacher in the studio and in the classroom. It is my therapist and my confidant. It is my stability. It is my breath during challenging times. It is who I am. I am a forever teacher, student, anxiety-ridden human who uses yoga to calm the storm.

Emily Portuese

As a practitioner of yoga for almost 20 years, it has guided me through many journeys in my life: athlete, pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, postpartum, and weightlifting supplement. My practice has ebbed and flowed throughout these life changes and I wish to make yoga a part of any body’s journey, no matter where they are. As a full-time working mom, I know the stresses our bodies take. I hope to share how yoga has truly transformed not only my physical being, but also the ability to quiet the mind and focus.

Kate Fisher

Hello it's me Kate - a mom, of 3 big kids and my Labradoodle, social worker, foodie, lover of nature and movement of all kinds. An occasional yogi over many years, hot yoga drew me in initially for it’s physical challenge and rigor. The copious sweat along with the strength and stamina-building gave “results”. Yet, it is the gentle but deep reprieve and reconciliation of this life’s rigor and the sweet discovery of soul that keeps me returning to my mat . My high impact and “running from” response to manage and cope with work and personal stress was reaching it’s threshold of benefit vs. cost.
With yoga the breath and movement releases tension while resilience of body, mind and spirit builds. In the studio on my mat I feel such peace and serenity.

As my practice has deepened the learning has transcended the body level asanas, sparking deeper self-discovery, awareness and conviction that has been life-defining. There is such truth in the adage that yoga is learning about breathing through, acceptance and stillness in all the commotion life presents to us. It has been a gift to me off the mat both personally and professionally for both grounding and healing.

As a yoga instructor I continue to develop my sense of self as I serve others. My hope as a yoga teacher - and an eternal student - is to be a guide to others on this path. I am honored to hold space for, energize, encourage and challenge students to find their light within and to shine it outward.

Stephanie Angelucci

Howdy y’all, my name is Stephanie Angelucci. I am a wife, mother, proud veteran, yoga practitioner and teacher, and the founder of the Adirondack Asana Academy. I started my yoga journey in 1998 while in college and really began diving deeper while serving as an officer in the United States Air Force. It has been an important part of my life ever since. My passion is to share the practice in a way that is accessible to all: to meet people where they are, as they are. I hold a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas and am a registered nurse in New York State. My yoga training includes a 200 hr E-RYT, a 500 hr teacher training with Rolf Gates, Hot 26, and advanced certifications in Yin, Kid Power, and Restorative Yoga. When I am not in the studio I am probably hanging out with my 2 amazing boys and husband, either hiking, skiing, or sailing. I hope to see you on the mat! Namaste.
